Meet the Flock

Behind every package of Monarch Acres lamb is an animal we have personally cared for.

Our flock is made up primarily of Dorper sheep, with an emphasis on building a strong foundation of productive, functional genetics.

We’re continually evaluating our flock for the traits that matter most to us:

Health. Structure. Mothering ability. Growth. Hardiness. Carcass quality.

We’re also passionate about responsible grazing.

Our sheep move through rotational grazing areas throughout the season, allowing us to better manage pasture health while giving the flock access to fresh forage.

Growing Something Worth Keeping

We’re intentionally building the flock over time rather than chasing size for the sake of size. Our goal is to create a sustainable operation that produces excellent lamb while remaining connected to the animals, land, and people behind it.
